About The Conference

We would like to invite you to attend the 15th European Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometry Workshop (EFTMS) which will be held in Prague, Czech Republic from 17th April to 20th April 2024. As in the past years, this exciting event will present cutting edge research and applications in the field of Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometry. This year, it is organized by the Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

The tradition of the FTMS workshops started in 1991 in Germany and it takes place every two years. It aims at promoting interaction and exchange between academy and industry researchers working in the field of Fourier transform mass spectrometry.

The previous FTMS workshops have been attended by the leading academic scientists, industry professionals, and mass spectrometry scholars and experts from across the globe. We would like to continue the successful tradition by offering an excellent scientific program covering all the modern aspects of FTMS, which we hope every attendee will enjoy.

Conference Dinner
The conference dinner as an open buffet will take place at the Restaurant Větrník on Thursday 18th April from 18:30. Group departure from the National Library of Technology (in front of the NTK1 entrance from Technicka street). For those arriving independently by public transport, the tramway stop "Větrník" is only about 150 m walk from the restaurant.
Guided tour
On Friday 19th April, all participants are invited to an evening guided ride through Prague's city centre on board a historical tramway car (1908-1942). The group will depart from the National Library of Technology (in front of the NTK1 entrance from Technicka street) at 18:45 and walk about 30 min (1.6 km). If you prefer to arrive by public transport, make your way to the "Vozovna Stresovice" tram stop by 19:15 latest. The historical tram will depart at 19:25 sharp. The ride will take 60 min and arrive back at "Vozovna Strešovice".
Following the successful tradition of previous years, the 4th European Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometry School with four tutorial lectures will take place on Saturday afternoon after the official closing of the conference. The attendance is open and free to all the 15th EFTMS workshop attendees, with the aim primarily at students.
Czech Republic is a member of the EU Schengen area of free movement, which also means that citizens of many countries including USA and Canada should not need any visa for short visits. However, it is the sole responsibility of each attendee to check the current visa requirements and make their own appropriate arrangements. The organizers are not qualified to advise in visa-related queries as well as cannot officially sponsor a visit nor offer any guarantees during visa application process.
With its combination of a modern metropolis with a well-preserved UNESCO-protected historical city center, Prague has a lot to offer to every tourist. A good starting point for planning a sightseeing visit would be for example the official Prague Tourist Portal or Czech Tourism Bureau.
Three presentation formats are available for your presentation (Choose the one you would like to have. We will try the best to comply with your choice. We will contact you if it is not possible.):
Standard 30 min lecture
Short (10 minutes) oral presentation accompanied by the poster
Standard poster presentation. The poster boards will be suitable for A0 formatted poster (oriented vertically).
If you need to cancel for medical or other compelling reasons and let us know more than 30 days before the conference start, we will reimburse your fee minus 25% manipulation and processing fee. Later than that, we unfortunately cannot accommodate fee reimbursements, but may allow transferring your registration to a colleague of yours, who would join instead. Talk to us, we will consider cases individually.
We process your registration data according to European Union's GDPR regulations only in the extent necessary for organizational and financial processing of the conference. We do not otherwise share your data unless mandated by law.
